I finally gave in. I like the shoe I had been looking to buy these for a while so I'm pleased overall. I went to the store first and tried them on and they fit very well. The other pair that I liked had sold out so I bought these and its not much of a difference since its pretty much the same color scheme. Fits like a runner's shoe but I wouldn't use it for those purposes. These are more casual than anything.

Extremely disappointing. I have been a Nike Airmax 2009 customer for a decade and I run an average of 5 miles a day and was really placing great hope on this shoe. I have high arches and wear orthotics. This Nike Airmax 2009 is much smaller in size and width by a full size, the cushioning is very poor, the toe box is pointy and does not leave much room and the silver band on the outside of the toe box digs in the big toe. Not at all a winner. I have noticed a deterioration of the quality of Nike Airmax 2009, the cushioning wears out very quickly.
